Laptop Upgrade Service

Most laptops have parts and components that are built specifically for individual designs. This can mean that some parts in your laptop, including the processor, graphics card and motherboard, may not be upgradeable. Hard drives and RAM can almost always be upgraded, however, and ACR regularly upgrades and repairs many brands of laptop that require replacement parts, sourcing them from a variety of worldwide sources where necessary. If we can't find the replacement or upgrade laptop parts you need, it's unlikely that anybody can!

Laptop Memory Upgrades (RAM)

Increasing the amount of memory (RAM) your laptop has can offer many benefits. Applications will run quicker and your whole laptop will become noticebly faster.

Laptop Hard Drive Upgrades

Over time, the amount of internal storage (hard drive) space available in your laptop will decrease due to the extra files and applications installed. Laptops only rarely have space for more than one hard drive, so an additional internal drive is hardly ever an option.

Upgrading the hard drive in your laptop by replacing it with another that has more storage space is a popular option. Unless you are confident in your ability to perform the upgrade yourself, it should be undertaken by trained staff, because of the notoriously complex and delicate nature of the average laptop. Data from the older hard drive will usually need to be transferred to the new laptop hard drive before completing the installation. It's all part of the service at ACR.
